Insurance & FRequently Asked QuestionS
What to expect, what's covered, and answers to common questions about visiting Jeffers Chiropractic.
General chiropractic care can typically be billed through insurance, we verify eligibility prior to treatment. Some plans require a referral, this isn't specific to sports injuries or any particular condition, it depends on your plan. We accept Medicare.
Spinal decompression, knee decompression, laser therapy, and OmniWave acoustic therapy are billed at time of service and not covered by insurance at this time. We also offer a discounted package rate for patients who want to commit to a full course of treatment upfront, this is never required, time-of-service billing is always available as an alternative. We're upfront about the full cost before you commit to any treatment. HSA/FSA cards are welcome.
Orthotics are different from the other time-of-service modalities, some insurance plans, particularly HMOs, may cover orthotics (also called chiropractic appliances). If orthotics are recommended, we'll check your specific insurance benefits.
INSURANCE & PAYMENTS
YOUR FIRST VISIT
Your first visit includes a thorough examination along with a review of your medical history. Because of this, your first appointment runs longer than a typical follow-up visit. Follow-up chiropractic visits are typically shorter, averaging around 15-20 minutes, other modalities used during a visit will add to the total time in office.
We do not perform X-rays in-office. If your exam points to something that needs imaging, we'll refer you out for an MRI or X-ray so the doctor has what's needed for an accurate diagnosis.
SCheduling
At this time we don't offer online booking, call our office directly to schedule. Same-day appointments are typically available.
