What is Shockwave
acoustic therapy?
Shockwave therapy uses acoustic sound waves to reach beneath the skin and into the tissue below, including muscles and tendons. Our machine uses high-energy sound waves to stimulate the body's natural healing process in damaged tissues, without the typical discomfort and pain of other shockwave devices.
At Jeffers Chiropractic, this is delivered using OmniWave. Unlike the hard-impact applicators found in older shockwave devices, OmniWave uses a fluid-filled applicator. Treatment can be applied comfortably, without the sharp or jolting sensation some patients associate with traditional shockwave therapy.

OmniWave is billed at time of service and not typically covered by insurance. We also offer a discounted package rate for patients who want to commit to a full course of treatment upfront, this is never required, time-of-service billing is always available as an alternative.
